Neurofeedback
Also known as "EEG biofeedback" or "brainwave training", the International Society for Neurofeedback and Research (ISNR) defines biofeedback as "a process that enables an individual to learn how to change physiological activity for the purposes of improving health and performance".
Neurofeedback is a non-invasive, direct way of brain function training to improve attention, cognition, emotional regulation, and stress reduction. Utilizing EEG (electroencephalography) to show brainwaves in realtime, sensors are placed on your head to record your own brain activity which is then used to create an individualized training program to improve brain wave patterns. Instantaneous feedback is given during training sessions, letting you know when your brain is changing its patterns to match our therapeutic goals.
It is completely painless, and all you really have to do is watch a video or play games. Sessions typically range from 30-60 minutes.
Common conditions that can be improved with Neurofeedback include ADHD/ADD, anxiety, depression, memory loss, brain fog, chronic pain, optimal performance training and more.
