The popliteus is an important muscle to address when looking at relieving or eliminating knee pain, but also in addressing both hamstring and calf tightness. Unfortunately this muscle is often forgotten about or disregarded by many, but you don’t have to be one of those people.  Remember the popliteus muscle has fascial connections with the hamstring and the calves, and therefore plays a huge role in the tension both upstream and downstream.  Spend some time today releasing this often forgotten about muscle, and see your pain decrease.
