Regenerative Performance is founded in belief and experience,

Belief in your body’s ability to heal itself and become stronger, and experience making that recovery a positive reality. Injury is part of the athletic world, but we believe that injury doesn’t have to be a setback because recovery is an opportunity for a comeback. That’s why we do the research and practical application to bring you the tools you need to keep doing what you do best, competing and improving your game.

But beliefs alone don’t start movements, people do. In 2012, Founder Drew MacKay-Timmermans experienced a career ending injury.

“I was frustrated with the lack of concise, consistent and accurate information available to me as an athlete in regards to healing and recovering. That was a difficult time for me, as I was coming off my best season as a sprinter at the University of Western Ontario in Canada, with a silver medal in the 4x400m Relay and contribution to Western’s first Men’s Track & Field Team National Championship title at the CIS National Championships in 2012.”

Finding himself having to search for techniques to decrease pain and help his body heal, Drew realized that the athletic community needed a resource to educate about prevention and facilitate a quick and healthy recovery. His belief in the body’s ability to heal itself while reaching its peak form comes from his own experience, and he knows that both new and old injuries can benefit from his targeted methods. Now he uses that knowledge to serve a vast international community of athletes with various sports specialties.

“My journey instilled a driving passion for helping others avoid what I went through, so I created a community of empowered athletes, inspired coaches, and knowledgeable practitioners. Trust us and our expertise and we’ll show you how to trust your body. We’re aiming to be the global leader in athletic performance enhancement and tissue regeneration without the use of performance-enhancing drugs.”

Drew completed his Bachelor of Science with Honours in Kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario in Canada.  Following this, Drew worked for GoodLife Fitness in Canada and was nominated Top 10 Personal Trainers in the Country.  He holds an additional certification as a Level 1 Nutrition Coach through Precision Nutrition.  He is continually learning to provide better comprehensive education and care to athletes.
